Pumpkins! They are lovely and spooky. Well, pumpkin is widely used for Halloween and these cream cheese bars are perfect for treat or treat! Moist with swirls of cream cheese glaze that kids and the kids at heart can’t say no to. This Pumpkin Cream Cheese Bars are delightful and super easy to make.
FOR THE FILLING
8 oz cream cheese, softened
1/4 cup sugar
BATTER FOR BARS
1 cup solid pack pumpkin in a can
1 cup sugar
1/3 cup vegetable oil
1 cup all-purpose flour
1 teaspoon pumpkin pie spice
1 teaspoon baking powder
1/2 teaspoon baking soda
1/2 teaspoon salt
1/2 cup chopped pecan pieces
How to make Pumpkin Cream Cheese Bars
Step 1: Ready the oven. Preheat it to 375 degrees.
Step 2: Grease with PAM or Baker’s Joy a 9 x 13-inch baking pan.
Step 3: To make the filling, whisk the softened cream cheese, sugar, and egg using a hand mixer until smooth and well-blended.
Step 4: To make the batter, mix the pumpkin, sugar, egg, and oil in a medium mixing bowl. Beat until well combined.
Step 5: Mix in the flour, pumpkin pie spice, baking powder, baking soda, and salt. Stir until incorporated.
Step 6: Pour and spread the batter into the bottom of the prepared baking dish.
Step 7: Now, drizzle the cream cheese mixture on top of the batter. With a knife or spatula, cut through the batter to make a marble effect with the cream cheese mixture. Then, again in the opposite direction. Just make sure to not let your knife touch or drag the bottom of the dish. For the marble effect, you can do a side to side first, then up and down after.
Step 8: Then, sprinkle the over the chopped pecans.
Step 9: Place inside the preheated oven and bake for about 25 to 28 minutes or until the toothpick inserted in the middle comes out clean.
Step 10: Remove from the oven and cool completely before cutting.
