SAUSAGE AND CRESCENT ROLL CASSEROLE

This quickly became one of the staples at my house. Delicious Sausage and Crescent Roll Casserole is excellent for busy weeknights and busy individuals like me. Try substituting breakfast sausage with spicy sausage for that extra kick. And simply omit the Tabasco sauce if desired. The last time I made this I added some parsley and basil and it was fantastic!

This incredible recipe is easily modifiable without any worry that it’ll go wrong. Feel free to add or substitute some of the ingredients and see what happens. I believe that is the fun of cooking, experimenting, and ended up making the best out of the ordinary!

My kids don’t particularly eat spicy food, but there is just something about this casserole that made them enjoy the kick. It’s made with only seven main ingredients to make, combined for an amazing breakfast even lunch or dinner! Jump-start your day with this one hefty casserole with your favourite breakfast staple – eggs, cheese, sausage, and crescent rolls in one!

INGREDIENTS

1 lb package pork breakfast sausage
1 (8-oz.) tube refrigerated crescent rolls
1 1/2 c. shredded mozzarella cheese
1/2 c. shredded cheddar cheese
6 large Eggs
1 c. milk
1/2 tsp Tabasco sauce (I use Chipotle flavour)
1/2 tsp salt
1/4 tsp pepper

HOW TO MAKE SAUSAGE AND CRESCENT ROLL CASSEROLE

Step 1: Prepare the oven. Preheat it to 375 degrees. And oil a 13 x 9-inch pan.

Step 2: In a nonstick pan, cook the sausage, breaking the meat as it cooks using a wooden spoon. Drain the grease when done.

Step 3: In the prepared pan, unroll the crescent roll dough, then seal the seams. Over the dough, sprinkle the sausage and cheese.

Step 4: In a small bowl, place the eggs, milk, Tabasco sauce, salt, and pepper. Whisk until the ingredients are well combined. Pour this on top of the sausage and cheese.

Step 5: Place in the preheated oven and bake for about 35 to 40 minutes.
