SLOW COOKER CHICKEN ALFREDO

Easy to make Chicken Alfredo which is one of the most popular slow cooker recipes. A no-fuss dish that comes out great always! Tender and juicy chicken breasts cooked right in a mouthwatering homemade Alfredo sauce. Stir in the pasta and cooked in the same flavorful sauce until tender. No wonder my family is obsessed with this amazing dish! Rich, creamy chicken Alfredo that has an excellent homemade flavour that will leave you wanting for more!

Ingredients

1 tbsp olive oil
2 lbs chicken breasts
3 c of heavy cream
4 c of low sodium chicken broth
4 tbsp butter
2 cloves garlic smashed
1 lb of uncooked Penne pasta
1 c hot water
5 ounces freshly shredded Parmesan cheese
kosher salt and black pepper
garlic powder

HOW TO MAKE SLOW COOKER CHICKEN ALFREDO

Step 1: Pat dry the chicken breasts.

Step 2: Season the chicken breasts with salt and pepper and sprinkle with garlic powder.

Step 3: Quickly sear the chicken breasts in hot oil over high heat on both sides.

Step 4: In a slow cooker, place the chicken breasts, heavy cream, chicken broth, butter, garlic cloves, and a tsp of kosher salt. Sprinkle with freshly ground black pepper.

Step 5: Cook for about 4 hours on low or 2 to 3 hours on high or until the chicken’s temperature hit 165 degrees.

Step 6: Take the chicken out of the slow cooker and allow to cool, then, slice.

Step 7: Pour a cup of water into the slow cooker and add in the uncooked penne pasta. Stir well.

Step 8: Cook for about 30 minutes on high or until the pasta is tender.

Step 9: Then, stir in the parmesan cheese, shredded chicken, and season with extra salt and black pepper.
