SLOW COOKER SAUSAGE BREAKFAST CASSEROLE

Breakfast is the most important meal of the day. And when you wake up to an amazing sausage casserole, your day is already complete! This dish is not only an amazing breakfast, but it is perfect for brunch, lunch, or dinner. It smells great, it tastes so good, and it has everything you need for a filling, satisfying breakfast. Warm your house with this casserole’s tempting aroma to start your day right. It is no-doubt a savory, delicious breakfast that can feed the crowd. This sausage breakfast casserole is a keeper, a winner, and to die for! And you can prep this in a breeze and go back to sleep while it cooks. And that’s what I love about the slow cooker recipes, it does the work for you. A perfect choice for when you still want to snuggle or relax.

INGREDIENTS

1 package (26-32 ounces) frozen shredded hash brown potatoes
1 package Jimmy Dean Hearty Original Sausage Crumbles
2 cup (8 ounces) shredded mozzarella cheese
1/2 cup (2 ounces) shredded Parmesan cheese
1/2 cup julienne-cut sun-dried tomatoes packed in oil, drained
6 green onions, sliced
12 eggs
1/2 cups milk
1/2 teaspoon salt
1/4 teaspoon ground black pepper

HOW TO MAKE SLOW COOKER SAUSAGE BREAKFAST CASSEROLE

Step 1: Grease a 6-quart slow cooker with cooking spray.

Step 2: Layer half of the potatoes on the bottom of the prepared slow cooker.

Step 3: And top the potatoes with half of the sausage, then, sprinkle over the Parmesan cheese, followed by the sun-dried tomatoes and green onion. Repeat the same layers for the remaining ingredients.

Step 4: In a large bowl, beat with a wire whisk the eggs, milk, salt, and pepper until incorporated.

Step 5: Drizzle the egg mixture over the potato-sausage mixture.

Step 6: Cook the casserole on low for 8 hours or on high for 4 hours or until the eggs are set. This will make 10 serving. Enjoy!
