My aunt made me this banana bread couple of years ago. I loved it! And here is the same recipe she used. Super simple with just a few easy ingredients and steps. So what makes this the best? This has a super-moist texture, extremely delicious, with loads of buttery banana flavour and incredibly soft crumb!
If you have leftover spotty bananas, it is the right time for you to try this lovely recipe. I promise you’ll love it to the stars!
Ingredients
1 cup of sugar
1/2 teaspoon salt
1/2 cup butter or margarine-one stick
3 ripe bananas-very ripe is great
2 Eggs-beaten
1 teaspoon baking soda
2 cups flour
1/2 cup nuts chopped-pecans or walnuts
How to make The Best Banana Bread
Step 1: Using a beater, cream the sugar, salt, and butter or margarine.
Step 2: Add in the eggs followed by the mashed bananas. Mix well until incorporated.
Step 3: Put the baking soda and the flour in another bowl. Sift and mix well until combined.
Step 4: Combine the dry ingredients to the creamed mixture until just well blended.
Step 5: Add the chopped nuts into the mixture and fold.
Step 6: Transfer the batter into a greased loaf pan. Place inside the oven and bake for about an hour at 325 degrees until brown. To check the doneness of the loaf, insert a toothpick in the centre. Once it comes out clean the loaf is perfect! Note not to overbake the banana bread. I suggest to check it as soon as the loaf begins to look brown.
Step 7: When done, remove from the oven. Serve warm with a bit of powdered sugar frosting drizzled on top or spread with butter. This is perfect as is so you can enjoy it by itself.
