Moist, sweet, cake-like banana bread that is made from mashed bananas and a few pantry ingredients. Always a hit and comes together pretty quickly. Super good as is or with some raisins along with chopped nuts. While warm, sprinkle over a little of powdered sugar.
This recipe is the best banana bread recipe I’ve tried! I never had a banana bread that has a super-moist texture, buttery, with brown sugar flavour, and incredibly soft crumb. This exceeded my expectation and made me love homemade banana bread more. A classic in every way, even my mom was surprised how delicious and moist this is. Not to mention, it’s a breeze to make! Super easy, not fussy soft and out of this world moist banana bread. Simply delicious!
1 cup of sugar
1/2 tsp salt
1/2 cup butter or margarine-one stick
3 ripe bananas-very ripe is great
1 tsp baking soda
2 cups flour
1/2 cup nuts chopped-pecans or walnuts
How to make The Best Banana Bread
Step 1: In a mixing bowl, beat the cream, sugar, salt, and butter or margarine.
Step 2: Add in the eggs and mashed bananas. Mix well until combined.
Step 3: Sift the baking soda and flour in another bowl.
Step 4: Mix the dry ingredients with the wet ingredients until incorporated. Fold in the chopped nuts.
Step 5: Transfer the batter into a greased loaf pan.
Step 6: Place inside the oven and bake for about an hour at 325 degrees until brown.
Step 7: Check the doneness by inserting a toothpick in the centre. Once it comes out clean the bread is done. Make sure to not overbake and check it once it begins to brown.
Step 8: Remove from the oven and serve warm. Enjoy!
