The Best Meatloaf I’ve Ever Made

This homemade meatloaf will find its way to your heart! This is the best meatloaf I have ever made. I kid you not, this will surely taste like the ones we but at the stores! Give it a try and taste it yourself. I have provided all the ingredients and all the steps you need to follow to achieve the perfect meatloaf. I hope you love it!

INGREDIENTS

1 tablespoon butter
1/4 cup minced onion
2 cloves garlic, minced
1 1/2 teaspoons salt
1 1/2 teaspoons freshly ground black pepper
2 pounds extra-lean ground beef
3 slices bread, toasted and crumbled
7 buttery round crackers, crushed
1 egg, lightly beaten
3 1/2 tablespoons sour cream
1 1/2 tablespoons Worcestershire sauce
1 (15 ounces) can tomato sauce, divided
1/4 cup milk (optional)
3 tablespoons ketchup

How to make The Best Meatloaf I’ve Ever Made

Step 1: Ready the oven and preheat to 174 degrees C or 350 degrees F.

Step 2: Place a skillet on the stove and turn the heat to medium.

Step 3: Add the butter and allow it to melt. Saute’ the chopped onion and garlic for 5 minutes or until the garlic is fragrant and the onion is translucent.

Step 4: Remove the skillet from the stove then add salt and pepper to taste.

Step 5: Transfer the mixture into a large bowl. Add in beef, crushed crackers, crumbled bread, 1/2 can tomato sauce, Worcestershire sauce, sour cream, ad egg. Stir until all the ingredients are well-mixed.

Step 6: Pour 1 teaspoon of milk at a time then stir until the texture becomes moist.

Step 7: Pour the mixture into a 5×9-inch pan.

Step 8: Place inside the preheated oven and bake for 40 minutes then turn the temperature up to 400 degrees F and bake for another 15 minutes. (The internal temperature should be 70 degrees C or 160 degrees F.)

Step 9: Add the rest of the tomato sauce and ketchup in a small mixing bowl. Stir until well-mixed.

Step 10: Remove the meatloaf from the oven and pour the tomato sauce and ketchup mixture on top.

Step 11: Put the meatloaf back to the oven and bake for another 10 minutes.

Step 12: Remove the meatloaf from the oven and let it sit on at room temperature for at least 5 minutes before serving. Enjoy!
